Passing LiveCall events to Google Tag Manager (GTM)

You can integrate LiveCall with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and further with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads etc.

The integration with GTM is done by the data layer. The image below describes well how the information is passed to GTM.

It's assumed that you have your GTM installed on your website.

Integration

  1. Enable LiveCall <> GTM Integration

To start sending events to GTM you need to enable LiveCall <> GTM integration.

To do this: Go to Settings in LiveCall dashboard and tick "Integrate with Google Tag Manager".

Hurray! events are now sent you the data layer.

  1. Now it's time to define Triggers in your GTM console.

Go to Triggers and add New. Now you need to specify which events you want to track.

The complete list of events that you can track is available here: List of events

Events names in the data layer are the same as on the list but with a 'livecall.' prefix so for ex. 'callInitiation' event in the data layer event is named 'livecall.callInitiation'

To start with add a 'livecall.callInitiation' trigger like in the example below.

  1. Now it's time to create a tag. Go to Tags and add New. Follow the example.

Please make sure that you put your tracking ID for Google Analytics and that you link your tag with the previously defined trigger.

Time to submit the changes in GTM.
